Each of the "One-Touch" keys on the Model 819 and Model
820 activates a single specific function. You don't need to turn
these off and back on again to change functions, nor do you have
to hold two keys simultaneously and hope the function changes.
The large-sized keys are easily operated by someone wearing work
gloves. The big, five-digit display lets you read the full range
of TC types and still have 0.1° resolution. Repeat operations
are easy too, since the functions you select are retained even
after you shut off the thermometer; you don't have to reprogram
each time you turn one on.
